Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 15 July 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Eventfo platform. By accessing or using any part of our Services - including our website, mobile application, or organiser platform - you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.

1

About Eventfo

Eventfo (referred to as "we", "us", or "our") operates an event discovery and management platform comprising a consumer-facing mobile application and a web-based organiser platform (collectively, the "Services"). The Services enable attendees to discover, save, and engage with local events, and enable event organisers to create, publish, and manage events, vendors, schedules, and communications.

The Services may also display sponsored advertising content from third-party advertisers. Advertisers receive anonymised campaign performance data (impressions and clicks) but do not receive any information that identifies individual users.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Eventfo and govern your access to and use of all Services. References to "you" or "your" apply to all users of the Services, including attendees and event organisers.

2

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Services independently. If you are between 13 and 17 years of age, you may only use the Services with the verifiable prior consent and ongoing supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf and accepts full responsibility for your use of the Services.

By using the Services, you represent and warrant that (a) you meet the age requirements above, (b) you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, (c) you are not prohibited from using the Services under any applicable law, and (d) all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

3

User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To access certain features of the Services, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and to keep your account information up to date at all times.

3.2 Account Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at legal@eventfo.co.uk if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to adequately safeguard your credentials.

3.3 One Account Per User

Each individual may maintain only one personal account. You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate another person, or transfer your account to any other person or entity without our prior written consent.

3.4 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all content posted and activity conducted through your account. If you permit others to access your account, you remain solely responsible for ensuring their compliance with these Terms.

4

Event Organiser Terms

4.1 Organiser Registration

If you register as an event organiser, you represent and warrant that you have full legal authority to create and manage events on behalf of yourself or any organisation you represent, and that any events you list are legitimate, accurately described, and lawful under all applicable laws and regulations.

4.2 Accuracy of Event Listings

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and lawfulness of all event information you publish, including but not limited to event descriptions, dates, times, locations, vendor details, schedules, ticketing arrangements, and any associated media. Eventfo does not verify the accuracy of organiser-submitted content and reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these Terms or applicable law.

4.3 Vendor Information

By listing vendors through the Eventfo platform, you confirm that you have obtained all necessary consents and permissions from each vendor to publish their information, including names, menus, descriptions, imagery, and stall locations. You agree to indemnify Eventfo for any claims arising from your failure to obtain such consents.

4.4 No Misrepresentation

You must not misrepresent the nature, scale, quality, or details of any event. This includes, without limitation, falsely advertising performers, artists, vendors, attendance capacity, ticket availability, or event amenities.

4.5 Cancellations and Material Changes

In the event of a cancellation, postponement, or any material change to a published event, you are responsible for promptly notifying all affected attendees using the communication tools provided within the platform. Eventfo is not responsible for any losses, claims, or disputes arising from event cancellations or changes made by organisers.

4.6 Compliance with Laws

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your events comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to health and safety requirements, liquor licensing, noise ordinances, public gathering permits, and any other regulatory requirements applicable to your event.

4.7 Featured and Premium Listings

A standard claimed listing is provided free of charge. Eventfo may also offer enhanced or "Featured" listings that unlock additional presentation features - which may include performer line-ups, detailed programmes, vendor listings, a Featured badge, and priority placement in search and discovery results - either as a one-off purchase or as a recurring subscription. Where a listing option is chargeable, the applicable fees, billing frequency, and duration are those displayed to you, or otherwise agreed in writing, at the time of purchase.

Featured status is time-limited. Unless renewed, it ends at the close of the paid period, after which the listing reverts to a standard claimed listing and the additional Featured features are no longer shown publicly. Any content you have entered is retained in your organiser dashboard and is displayed publicly again if you renew. Priority placement is a ranking signal only and does not guarantee any particular position, ordering, or level of visibility. We may add to, change, or withdraw the features included in any listing tier from time to time. Any cancellation or refund rights are those set out at the time of purchase and as required by applicable law.

5

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must not use the Services to:

  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Post, transmit, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, obscene, fraudulent, hateful, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services, related systems, or networks.
  • Use automated tools, bots, crawlers, or scrapers to extract data from the Services without our prior written consent.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the Services or any related infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of any part of the Services.
  • Send unsolicited commercial communications (spam) to other users.
  • Facilitate or promote any fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading activity.
  • Use the Services in a manner that could damage, disable, or impair the Services or other users' ability to use them.
  • Collect or harvest personal information about other users without their consent.

Eventfo reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of these Terms and to take appropriate action, including suspending or terminating your account, reporting conduct to law enforcement, or pursuing legal remedies.

6

User-Generated Content

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you submit, post, or display on or through the Services ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant Eventfo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Services.

6.2 Content Standards

You represent and warrant that: (a) you own or have all necessary rights and permissions to submit your User Content; (b) your User Content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or other rights; (c) your User Content is not defamatory, unlawful, or otherwise in violation of these Terms; and (d) you have obtained all necessary consents from any individuals depicted in your User Content.

6.3 Moderation

Eventfo does not pre-screen User Content but reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without prior notice, to remove, restrict, or refuse any User Content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or that we consider otherwise objectionable. We are not liable for any User Content posted by users.

7

Intellectual Property

7.1 Eventfo's Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Services - including but not limited to software, code, design, graphics, text, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade names, databases, and data - are and shall remain the exclusive property of Eventfo or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to use our name, logo, or trademarks without our prior express written consent.

7.2 Limited Licence to Use

Subject to these Terms, Eventfo grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Services for their intended purpose. This licence does not include any right to: (a) sublicense, sell, or resell the Services; (b) copy or modify any part of the Services; (c) create derivative works; or (d) reverse-engineer or attempt to extract source code from the Services.

7.3 Feedback

If you submit any feedback, suggestions, ideas, or improvements regarding the Services, you grant Eventfo a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use such feedback for any purpose, including incorporating it into the Services, without any obligation of compensation or attribution to you.

8

Third-Party Services

The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, applications, or services (including but not limited to mapping services, payment processors, and analytics tools). These third-party services are not controlled by Eventfo and are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies.

Eventfo does not endorse, warrant, or assume any responsibility for the accuracy, availability, or practices of third-party services. Your use of any third-party services is at your own risk, and we encourage you to review their applicable terms before engaging with them.

9

Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Eventfo processes personal information in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, and all other applicable data protection legislation. Where we process personal information, we do so only for lawful purposes, with appropriate safeguards, and in a manner that respects your rights as a data subject. Our processing activities are overseen by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information held by Eventfo. To exercise these rights, please contact us at legal@eventfo.co.uk.

10

Disclaimers

10.1 As-Is Basis

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eventfo expressly disclaims all such warranties.

10.2 Event Content Accuracy

Eventfo does not verify, warrant, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or quality of any event listings, vendor information, schedules, or other User Content on the platform. We are not responsible for any event cancellations, material changes, inaccurate descriptions, or failures by organisers to deliver events as advertised.

10.3 Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the Services will be available at all times, uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components. We reserve the right to suspend, modify, or discontinue all or any part of the Services at any time, with or without notice, and shall not be liable for any such suspension or discontinuation.

11

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Eventfo, its holding company, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages - including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, business interruption, or any other intangible losses - arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Services;
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Services, including event organisers and vendors;
  • Any User Content obtained from the Services;
  • Unauthorised access to or alteration of your account or transmissions;
  • Any event cancellation, change, or failure to perform by an organiser.

In no event shall Eventfo's total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid to Eventfo in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) £500 (five hundred pounds sterling).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

12

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend (at Eventfo's option), and hold harmless Eventfo and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees and disbursements) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your access to or use of the Services;
  • Your User Content;
  • Your breach of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation;
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights or privacy rights;
  • Any event you organise or publish through the Services.

Eventfo reserves the right to assume exclusive control of the defence of any matter subject to indemnification by you, at your expense. You agree not to settle any such matter without Eventfo's prior written consent.

13

Termination

13.1 Termination by You

You may close your account and terminate your use of the Services at any time by contacting us at legal@eventfo.co.uk or using the account management tools available within the platform.

13.2 Termination by Eventfo

Eventfo may, in its sole discretion, suspend or permanently terminate your access to all or any part of the Services, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity, or if we are required to do so by applicable law or a regulatory authority.

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination of your account for any reason, your right to access and use the Services ceases immediately. Termination does not relieve you of any obligations that accrued prior to termination. The following sections shall survive termination: Intellectual Property (Section 7), Disclaimers (Section 10), Limitation of Liability (Section 11), Indemnification (Section 12), Governing Law (Section 14), and Entire Agreement (Section 18).

14

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Where applicable, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 (as retained in UK law) shall apply to these Terms.

Subject to the dispute resolution process in Section 15, you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services.

15

Dispute Resolution

15.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at legal@eventfo.co.uk and give us a reasonable opportunity (no less than 30 days) to resolve the dispute informally. Both parties agree to negotiate in good faith during this period.

15.2 Formal Proceedings

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days of written notice, either party may pursue any legal remedies available under applicable law.

15.3 Urgent Relief

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent or interim relief from a competent court of law where necessary to prevent irreparable harm pending the outcome of a dispute.

16

Changes to These Terms

Eventfo reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where reasonably practicable, notify registered users via email or an in-app notification.

Your continued access to or use of the Services after the revised Terms have been posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Services.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The most current version of these Terms will always be available at eventfo.co.uk/terms.

17

Severability and Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions, which shall continue in full force and effect.

Our failure or delay in exercising any right or remedy under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right or remedy preclude any other or further exercise of that right or remedy.

18

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices or policies published on or through the Services, constitute the entire agreement between you and Eventfo with respect to your use of the Services. They supersede all prior and contemporaneous understandings, agreements, representations, and warranties - whether written or oral - relating to the subject matter hereof.

19

Independent Listings and Takedown Requests

Some events featured on Eventfo are compiled and listed by us as an independent events guide, without a direct account relationship with the organiser. Where this is the case, Eventfo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the organiser, and any event names, logos, or trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the event.

We take reasonable care to list accurate, factual event information drawn from publicly available sources, and we do not present ourselves as the official organiser of any event we independently list. Attendees should always confirm event details directly with the organiser before travelling or making arrangements.

19.1 Claiming, Correcting, or Removing a Listing

If you are the organiser of, or are otherwise connected to, an independently listed event, you may request to claim, correct, or remove that listing at any time via eventfo.co.uk/claim. We will review verified requests promptly and, where a removal request is valid, remove the listing within a reasonable period. This does not affect any statutory rights you may have.

19.2 Intellectual Property Concerns

If you believe any content on an event listing infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, please contact us at legal@eventfo.co.uk with details of the content and your rights, and we will review and respond promptly.
